Designing and making clocks and watches is all about precision and attention to detail, which is perhaps why the idea of restoring the symmetry of a renovated Georgian townhouse appealed so much to Newgate's founders, Jim and Chloe Read.
The couple recently chatted to LivingEtc about how they made this elegant space their home.
‘What was important to us was that our house provide an inspiration for what we do at Newgate,' says Jim, 'the house has often been used as a backdrop for photoshoots and as a canvas on which to try out new design ideas and to test colourways for our new collections. It's a melting pot of all the design inspiration that Chloe and I love, from battered antique finds at flea markets, to smart mid-Century modern furniture and futuristic accessories. It's everything we love in one place.'
