Newgate is a local family business based in Oswestry who design, make and distribute quartz clocks and eyewear.
We specialise in creating and selling a variety of clocks across three brands Newgate Clocks, Jones Clocks and Space Hotel Clocks, as well as an eyewear brand called London Mole from which we create affordable stylish glasses and sunglasses.
Design, sales, marketing and distribution all take place at our premises in Oswestry, a short commute from Shrewsbury, Wrexham and Welshpool. All our products are made overseas to our specific specification by long-standing partners.
Our brands have a strong online presence with a large proportion of our business direct to customer via websites and online marketplaces, in addition to supplying lifestyle and homewares stores and distributors globally.
Current Positions
Warehouse, Dispatch & Quality Operative
You will be working in a very small team, opening, checking and repacking clocks and other items, and sometimes carrying out very simple modifications to them. You would also be helping with picking and packing, taking goods in, and a variety of other tasks. You need to be adept, work quickly and have a great eye for quality.
Personal Assistant
This is not your average PA role, you will be supporting a business rather than one person, but it requires the skill set of a conscientious and adaptable PA. We are looking for a self-motivated team player who is personable and professional at all times.
Commercial Assistant
We are looking for self-motivated, driven and highly motivated team players with a highly personable and professional attitude at all times. This is a dynamic and exciting role working in key areas of the business which may include: e-commerce and listings, pricing, stock control, order processing, reporting and key account support.
Wild Card
